What is WandaConnect?
WandaConnect is Cameroon's freelancing marketplace connecting clients with skilled freelancers across web development, design, writing, marketing, video, and more. All transactions are secured with escrow payments via Mobile Money.
Who can use WandaConnect?
Anyone can sign up — both clients looking to hire, and freelancers looking to sell their services. We primarily serve Cameroon and the broader African market.
Is WandaConnect free to join?
Yes. Creating an account, browsing services, and messaging freelancers is completely free. You only pay when you place an order.
What languages is the platform available in?
Currently in English. French support is planned for a future update.
For Clients
How do I hire a freelancer?
Browse or search for a service, click on it to view details, then message the freelancer for free to discuss your project. When ready, choose a package and place your order.
Can I contact a freelancer before ordering?
Yes — messaging any freelancer is completely free. You can discuss your project, ask questions, and request a custom offer before committing to any payment.
What if I'm not happy with the delivery?
You can request revisions within the number included in your package. If you still can't resolve it, contact our support team to open a dispute.
How do I pay?
We accept MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money. After placing your order you'll receive a unique payment code and instructions to send payment to our collection number.
When does the freelancer start working?
The delivery countdown starts when you submit your project requirements — not when you pay. This gives you time to provide details after payment is confirmed.
Can I cancel an order?
You can cancel an order before the freelancer starts working. Once work has begun, cancellation is subject to dispute resolution.
What is escrow?
Escrow means your payment is held securely by WandaConnect — not sent to the freelancer immediately. Payment is only released after you approve the delivery, so you're always protected.
For Freelancers
How do I start selling?
Create an account, complete your profile, then create a service with a clear title, description, and three pricing packages. Your service goes live immediately.
How much commission does WandaConnect take?
Just 5% — the lowest in the market. You keep 95% of every order you complete.
When do I get paid?
Once a client approves your delivery, your earnings are released from escrow. Payment is sent to your Mobile Money account.
Can I set my own prices?
Yes. You set your own prices for Basic, Standard, and Premium packages. You can also send custom offers to clients at any price you choose.
What happens if a client doesn't respond?
If a client goes unresponsive after you've submitted delivery, you can contact support. Orders are auto-completed after a set review period.
Can I offer services in multiple categories?
Yes. You can create multiple services across different categories.
Payments & Fees
What payment methods are accepted?
MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money. No international bank account needed.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. The only fee is 5% commission deducted from the freelancer's earnings on completed orders. Clients pay exactly what the service page shows.
What if my payment isn't verified?
Our team verifies all payments against our Mobile Money transaction history. If there's an issue, you'll be notified and can contact support.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments are held in escrow and only released after delivery is approved. We never release payment prematurely.
Trust & Safety
How does WandaConnect prevent scams?
All payments go through our escrow system — never directly between parties. Our system also flags messages that attempt to move conversations off-platform.
What if a freelancer disappears after payment?
Payment is in escrow — the freelancer never receives it until delivery is approved. If they don't deliver, you can open a dispute and receive a refund.
How do I report a problem?
Use the Contact Us page or email our support team. For urgent issues during an active order, use the dispute option in your order workspace.
